Princes Lodge 9036
Masonic Province of South Wales

Founding Master
W Bro Donald Lewis Lews OBE. PJGD
Lodge History.
The Lodge was founded in 1982 by members of several other Lodges who felt that a Lodge with a 'difference' was required; Firstly to accommodate members who require assistance to conduct and partake in our ceremonies, also to be a dining Lodge where only the best foods and drinks are served under a formal setting. We are the only Lodge in Caerphilly where the members wives are encouraged to join us at the after meeting dinner (what we call the after proceedings) at our December and March meetings. Both practices prevail today
Our 'Mother Lodge' is the Lodge of St. Ilan No..6624
The first Worshipful Master of Princes Lodge No.9036 was W. Bro. Donald Lewis Lewis OBE. PJGD

The Lodge gained its name from the situation of the Masonic Temple which is located on Princes Avenue, Caerphilly' - just a stones throw from the famous Caerphilly Castle.
The Lodge motto is 'BRAWDGARWCH', loosely translated meaning 'brotherly love' or 'brotherliness' - Embracing one of the fundamental principles of Freemasonry.
We meet on four formal occasions during the year.

Princes Lodge has always striven to maintain a high standard, both in ritual and at the Festive Board where six course meals, fine wines and port are the norm and often accompanied by fine entertainment drawn from local artists and talent.
The Ladies of Princes Lodge have always taken an active interest in Lodge matters attending both the Christmas and St David's day Festive Boards.

Princes Lodge considers itself a 'Family Lodge', having six sets of fathers and sons, five sets of fathers and sons in law, three sets of blood brothers among other brethren with various family connections
